FootGolf

FootGolf is played on a golf course using a size 5 football. The object of the game is to get the ball into the hole using only your feet in the fewest number of shots possible. FootGolf is a very ‘addictive’ sport – it combines the best of football and golf, two of the most popular sports in the world. The beauty of the game lies in your being able to strategically combine power and precision every time you play FootGolf. And, of course, it is open to everyone.

CAN I BRING MY OWN BALL?

You can bring your own football to play at our courses as long as it is a standard size 5 ball. Footballs are available at the course, though, for players who don’t have their own or who wish to use the course balls.

WHAT FOOTWEAR CAN I PLAY IN?

Football boots and blades aren’t permitted on most UK Footgolf courses – footgolfers are encouraged to wear trainers or astroturfs. Some UK Footgolf courses may permit the use of ‘moulds’ and AG boots for general play and competitions (please check with course or event organiser prior to the competition to confirm the footwear permitted at the event).

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF A FOOTGOLF COURSE?

Bear in mind that an average footgolfer can kick the ball around 50 yards. The difference between footgolf and golf is that a football will roll and bounce in myriad ways dependent on the topography of the course. The average length of a footgolf course is 2,250 yards (for 18 holes). It would take around 2 hours to complete a course of that length.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR FOOTGOLFERS?

We will promote a friendly attire for all players. Casual dress is welcome. This includes Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts. Trainers are fine too, please ensure footwear is appropriate during and wet conditions.

Football Boots or Blades are not permitted to protect our greens and course condition.

Tops must also be worn at all times during warm weather.
